GOALS

• Professionalism - Promote professionalism relating to physicians practicing the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation, fostering a culture of continuous professional improvement
   
• Physician Quality - Define standards of assessment of physician quality and promote a scientific approach to and tools for assessing physician competence at initial certification and subsequent Maintenance of Certification levels
   
• Research - Promote research related to the education and evaluation of physicians practicing PM&R and its subspecialties
   
• International - Foster international cooperation and exchange of information relating to certification and Maintenance of Certification.
